Abstrak

Senjata tradisional masuk dalam salah satu obyek dari pelestarian tradisi. Senjata tradisional yaitu alat yang digunakan untuk mempertahankan diri dari serangan/ancaman dari segala sesuatu dan kelengkapan indentitas yang cara pembuatannya, bentuknya, dan penggunaannya diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan senjata tradisional indonesia dengan konsep virtual reality kepada masyarakat khususnya generasi muda. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan perancangan virtual reality pengenalan senjata tradisional Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Metode ini terdiri dari 6 tahapan yaitu concept,design,material colecting,assembly,testing dan distribution. Hasil penelitian ini berupa aplikasi virtual reality pengenalan senjata tradisional Indonesia yang dijalankan di platform android. Berdasarkan hasil UAT 27 responden dengan interpretasi hasil sebesar 85% pada implementasi dan pengujian aplikasi virtual reality pengenalan senjata tradisional Indonesia, aplikasi virtual reality pengenalan senjata tradisional Indonesia dapat diterapkan sebagai media pengenalan dan pelestarian tradisi senjata tradisional Indonesia.

Abstract

Media promotion often used in introducing the products and services of a great many ways, one of them with the use of print and electronic media. TEDC Polytechnic including that promote the use of Traditional weapons fall into one of the objects preservation of tradition. Traditional weapons i.e. tools that are used to defend





themselves from attack/threat of everything and completeness of identity that way, its form, and its use is passed on orally. This research aims to introduce Indonesian traditional weapon with the concept of virtual reality to the public especially the young generation. Therefore the author does the design of the virtual reality of the introduction of weapons Indonesia. The methods used in this research is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). This method consists of 6 stages namely, concept, design, materials, assembly colecting, testing and distribution. The results of this research in the form of virtual reality applications introduction Indonesia traditional weapon that run on the android platform. Based on the results of the UAT 27 respondents with interpretation of the results of 85% on the implementation and testing of virtual reality applications introduction to Indonesia traditional weapon, virtual reality applications introduction Indonesia traditional weapon can be applied as a media introduction and preservation of traditions of Indonesia traditional weapon.
